HONOLULU, Hawaii (March 2, 2020) -- Honolulu District DA interns are working collaboratively with Radford High School’s STEM students on a project to design and build a pergola for lemon trees on campus. Capt. Patrick Drury (shown) and DA interns Michelle Kusaka, Travis Shimizu, Kylyn Sasaki and Bryce Montalbo began collaboration this week with classroom planning sessions and then held a preliminary campus site visit with the STEM students to discuss surveying concepts and utility locations for the year-long project. The USACE team with continue providing technical assistance and direction for the students throughout the construction phase of the project.
