FORT SHAFTER, HI -- Sumo-Nan, LLC a Honolulu-based contractor was awarded a $28,024,553 firm-fixed-price contract on Sept. 1, 2011 that will provide for the design and construction of an unaccompanied enlisted personnel housing facility (barracks) for 140 personnel at Helemano Military Reservation, Oahu, Hawaii.

The project was solicited as a small business set-aside and eight proposals were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Honolulu District is the contracting activity (W9128A-11-C- 0014).

Primary facilities include living and sleeping quarters, storage, fire protection and support facilities. The contractor’s design team must be able to meet Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Silver certification or better for the design and construction of this facility.

Work will be performed on Oahu, Hawaii, with a performance period of 720 calendar days. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Honolulu District is committed to providing high quality housing for the nation’s Soldiers.
