PUBLIC NOTICE: Agat Small Boat Harbor Maintenance Dredging

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) is planning to conduct maintenance dredging at the Agat Small Boat Harbor in Hågat, Guam, to maintain safe navigation depths. This work is part of USACE’s navigation mission to keep federal channels at authorized depths so vessels can travel safely and efficiently. Per Section 404 of the Clean Water Act, USACE is soliciting public comments on the proposed discharge into navigable waters from March 13, 2026 (ChST), through April 12, 2026. Kahaluu Bay Aquatic Ecosystem Restoration Study

Interested parties are hereby notified that the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Honolulu District and the Hawaii County Department of Parks and Recreation, in partnership with The Kohala Center’s, Kahaluu Bay Education Center (KBEC), will host a public scoping and informational meeting to introduce the Kahaluu Bay Aquatic Ecosystem Restoration Study. The meeting will be available to both in-person and virtual attendees with restoration study partners in attendance to introduce the study provide background information, answer questions and gather public input.

Availability of Final Integrated Feasibility Report and Environmental Assessment (IFR/EA) and Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for the Ofu Section 14 Emergency Shoreline Protection Study, Ofu, American Samoa

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Honolulu District, has finalized an Integrated Feasibility Report and Environmental Assessment (IFR/EA) and Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for the Ofu Section 14 Emergency Shoreline Protection study, Ofu, American Samoa. The IFR/EA and FONSI were prepared in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) of 1969 (42 USC Section 4321 et seq.), the Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ)(regulations published in 40 CFR Part 1500 et seq.), and USACE procedures for implementing NEPA published in 33 CFR Part 230. The non-Federal sponsor for the study is the American Samoa Government (ASG), represented by the Department of Port Administration.
