Maj. Brennan V. Wallace, P.E.

Deputy Commander and Deputy District Engineer

MAJ Brennan Wallace began work as the commander of the 565th Engineer Detachment (FEST-A) of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Honolulu District in August, 2013.

He graduated from the United States Military Academy in 1999 with a B.S. in environmental engineering, and originally commissioned as an armor officer. He is a graduate of the Command and General Staff College, Combined Arms Service and Staff School, Engineer Captain’s Career Course, Armor Captain’s Career Course, and Armor Officer’s Basic Course.

He was originally assigned to 1st Battalion 8th Cavalry at Ft. Hood, TX where he served as a tank platoon leader, mortar platoon leader and company executive officer. MAJ Wallace also served as a plans officer in the G3 Plans, III Corps HQ, Ft. Hood, during a deployment to Baghdad, Iraq in support of OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM II.  Upon re-deployment, MAJ Wallace left active duty and began work as a consultant civil engineer in Austin, TX where he earned his P.E. license and gained three years of A&E industry experience. 

MAJ Wallace continued to serve in the reserve component, branch transferred to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and commanded the 808th Engineer Company (Vertical), 980th Engineer Battalion in Houston, TX including a deployment to Baghdad, Iraq in support of OIF and OPERATION NEW DAWN in 2009-2010.  Upon his return he was assigned as the Battalion Executive Officer, 980th Engineer Battalion in Austin, TX.

MAJ Wallace re-entered active service in 2011 and was assigned to G3 Engineers, 2nd Infantry Division HQ, Camp Red Cloud, South Korea followed by service as the Battalion Operations Officer (S-3) of the 1st Brigade Special Troops Battalion, 2nd Infantry Division, Camp Hovey, South Korea. 

MAJ Wallace is married to Lisa Wallace, and has a son.
