USACE Honolulu District Commander Kathryn P. Sanborn was invited Sept. 5, 2018 to speak during the U.S. Army Health Clinic-Schofield Barracks groundbreaking ceremony. The District’s military program oversees design and construction of projects and this is the second contract for Phase 1 of the Schofield Barracks Health Clinic modernization. The first contract is for the parking garage, which will be completed in December. In addition to the medical functions, the project includes upgrades to existing infrastructure to support both this new addition and also the Phase 2 project. The design of the building is being accomplished in a manner that is compatible with the Historic District and yet fulfills the modern healthcare requirements.
