USACE Director of Human Resources talks to District supervisors
FORT SHAFTER, HI (March 7, 2019) -- U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Director of Human Resources Senior Executive Karen Pane spoke with more than 25 District supervisors and office managers about new and developing Corps-wide hiring initiatives and encouraged the managers to use every hiring resource and authority available to fill vacant USACE jobs and assist in preparing for tomorrow's engineering challenges. Some of the various initiatives currently working through Headquarters, USACE and the DOD include direct hiring authority for all USACE positions. Pane also outlined digitalization of manpower and projections, as well as incorporation of a recruiting cadre. The supervisors were attending a Management / Employee Relations seminar that was created as a result of the District's 2018 Federal Employee Viewpoint Survey (FEVS) and Command Climate survey results.
