Honolulu District Commander Lt. Col. Kathryn Sanborn and the Pacific Ocean Division, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Command Sgt. Maj Patrickson Toussaint joined about 80 volunteers Sept. 21, 2019, from Honolulu District USACE, POD, Tripler Army Medical Center, Punahou School, AECOM, family members, and friends during the annual National Public Lands Day beach cleanup. Coordinated by Honolulu District Park Rangers Angela Jones and Stephen Lawlor, NPLD is a day in which local, state, federal and other agencies and organizations come together to learn about, serve and play on public lands.
