FORT SHAFTER, Hawaii -- Jean McAninch has been selected to serve as the Schofield Barracks Area Engineer, Schofield Barracks Area Office, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - Honolulu District.
As the Schofield Barracks Area Engineer, she will oversee critical construction programs such as the Kunia Station Tunnel renovation work (National Security Agency) and the Hawaii Infrastructure Readiness Initiative (HIRI).
McAninch most recently was serving as the Acting Area Engineer at Schofield Barracks Area Office.
McAninch, who started working in 2017 at Honolulu District as the Resident Engineer for Army-Civil Works and Tripler Army Medical Center Resident Office, has more than 27 years of experience working for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
She had served most of her U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) career as Resident Engineer in USACE Construction Field Offices in Arizona for Los Angeles District and in Egypt for Middle East District.
McAninch holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Arizona, is licensed as a Professional Engineer (Civil) in Arizona, and has achieved DAWIA Contracting Level II certification.
