Army Corps, Community Clean-up Fort DeRussy Beach and Park for National Public Lands Day

More than 80 volunteers scoured Fort DeRussy park and beach berm Sept. 9, picking up trash and clearing debris as part of this year's National Public Lands Day celebrations.

Volunteers from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers joined forces with local JROTC students and others to clean up the Fort DeRussy area beach and beach berm April 29 as part of Earth Month 2017.

Honolulu District Celebrates 112th Birthday With Pre-Dawn Hike to Makapu`u Lighthouse

Led by Honolulu District Commander Lt. Col. James Hoyman and former Honolulu District Commander Lt. Col. Christopher Crary, more than 16 District teammates and their friends braved blustery rain storm conditions on a pre-dawn hike to view the Makapu`u Lighthouse April 21 in celebration of the 112th anniversary of the District’s founding.
