The Honolulu District U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Pacific Regional Visitor Center (RVC) at Battery Randolph on Fort DeRussy invites the public to join Army Corps volunteers for their annual National Public Lands Day beach cleanup Sept. 21, 2019.

 

The event starts at 8 a.m.in front of the visitor center and will focus on removing trash and debris from the nearby Fort DeRussy park area, as well as the Waikiki Beach and beach berm located behind Battery Randolph. The RVC is providing volunteers with water, trash bags, litter grabbers, and gloves. Lunch is provided after the event.

 

National Public Lands Day is the Nation’s largest single-day volunteer effort celebrating the connection between people and green space coming together to learn about, serve, and play on public lands.
