U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Honolulu District, invites interested parties to bid on grazing land at the Pohakuloa Training Area, Hawaii County, Hawaii. The Grazing Lease consists of 5,402 total acres broken into three areas:
Waikii expansion - 1,567 acres;
Northern Unit - 1,393 acres; and
Southern Unit - 2,532 acres.
NOTE: Bidder does not have to bid on all three areas.
The Grazing Lease(s) will manage the reduction of wildland fire vegetation by using agricultural grazing as a tool.
In turn, this will minimize impact to the Army training mission and environmental conservation stewardship goals.
