Honolulu District awards two construction contracts

FORT SHAFTER, HI -- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Honolulu District awarded two construction contracts totaling $23,581,446 for work to be completed at Tripler Army Medical Center and Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Island of Oahu, Hawaii.

Contract No. W9128A-11-C-0006, a firm-fixed-price construction contract was awarded on 25 May 2011 to Sumo-Nan, LLC, 2688 Kilihau Stree, Ste C, Honolulu, Hawaii in the total amount of $15,951,219.00. The solicitation was issued as a small business set-aside via the Federal Business Opportunity website. The Government received six (6) offers. This contract will provide renovation to Tripler Army Medical Center Barracks Building 104 and surrounding area to meet current Army barracks criteria. Work will be performed in Oahu, Hawaii, with an estimated completion date of 5 Sep 2013. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Fort Shafter, Hawaii, is the contracting activity.

Contract No. W9128A-11-C-0009, a firm-fixed-price construction contract was awarded on 26 May 2011 to Reliable Contracting Group LLC, 13035 Middletown Industrial Blvd., Louisville, Kentucky in the total amount of $7,736,595.00. The solicitation was issued as a small business set-aside via the Federal Business Opportunity website. The Government received four (4) offers. This contract will alter two fuel storage tanks and the automatic tank gauging system at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam. Work will be performed in Oahu, Hawaii, with an estimated completion date of 21 Nov 2012. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Fort Shafter, Hawaii, is the contracting activity.
