Cayetano Named Deputy District Engineer for Programs and Project Management at U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Honolulu District

Stephen Cayetano was recently named as Deputy District Engineer for Programs and Project Management and Chief, Programs and Project Management Division for the Honolulu District, filling a vacancy left by the retirement of Anthony J. Paresa in May 2016.  Cayetano moved up from duties as the Honolulu District Deputy Chief for Programs and Project Management Division, a position he held since 2008.

Stephen Cayetano was recently named as Deputy District Engineer for Programs and Project Management and Chief, Programs and Project Management Division for the Honolulu District, filling a vacancy left by the retirement of Anthony J. Paresa in May 2016. 

Cayetano moved up from duties as the Honolulu District Deputy Chief for Programs and Project Management Division, a position he held since 2008.

Prior to coming to work at the Honolulu District in 2008, Cayetano served as the District Support Team Leader for the Honolulu District at Pacific Ocean Division (POD) headquarters at Fort Shafter.  He also served as the Air Force, Defense Logistics Agency Program Manager supporting the Japan, Korea, Alaska and Honolulu Districts within POD and served three separate terms as a Chief, Environmental Branch at the Honolulu, Japan and Europe Districts. In addition, he served as a project engineer and office engineer in various area and resident offices in Japan, Hawaii and Europe.

He also served as Chief, Engineering and Construction Division at Headquarters, US Forces Afghanistan, in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.

Cayetano is a past president of the Hawaii Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers and is a member of the Honolulu Post of the Society of American Military Engineers.  He is active with both organizations and volunteers for community events.

Cayetano holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Hawaii and is a Professional Engineer licensed in the State of Hawaii.

He is married and has two sons.
