    Interested parties are hereby notified that an application has been received for a Department of the Army (DA) permit for certain work in waters of the United States as described below and shown on the attached drawings. The applicant proposes to rebuild the Kuualii Fishpond rock wall, dredge sand infill from the fishpond, and restore the sand beach fronting the fishpond with the dredged sand. The rock wall and beach were damaged by the March 11, 2011 tsunami generated by a massive earthquake off the coast of Japan. Following the tsunami, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) authorized emergency repairs to stabilize the breach in the beach from further erosion while a permanent restoration plan was developed. The currently proposed work would return the fishpond to its pre-tsunami condition.

    The applicant (C&C of Honolulu) proposes to construct a new silt basin in uplands in the northwest corner of the West Loch golf course (Island of Oahu) adjacent to the Number 6 green, requiring appurtenant inlet and outlet structures to connect and direct flow from and back to the Honouliuli Stream during storm events. Two (2) separate portions of the stream would be lined with poured concrete and grouted boulder riprap from the top of the stream banks down to the bed to protect areas within the stream from erosion and scour around the new inlet and outlet.

The applicant proposes to implement a 10-year maintenance plan for the existing Ko Olina Lagoons. Purppose is to restore design depth of each lagoon through sediment management in order to maximize the daily exchange of water and maintain sustainable slopes on the beach face.

The proposed project is the culture and harvest of a managed coral reef species of fish, kampachi (Seriola rivolina) using a fixed mooring and a single proprietary Aquapod net pen. The proposed mooring site is located approximately 6 nautical miles west of Keauhou Bay and 7 nautical miles south-southwest of Kailua Bay, off the Kona Coast of the Island of Hawaii, Hawaii.

    Interested parties are hereby notified that an application has been received for a Department of the Army permit for certain work in waters of the United States as described below and shown on the attached drawings. The applicant proposes to concrete line the bed and vegetate the banks of an existing 400 ft long, dirt-lined drainage channel in Wai’anae, between Farrington Highway and Pokai Bay St. PURPOSE: To restore the channel profile to provide positive drainage flow, improve the conveyance of drainage flow from inland of Farrington Highway, and enhance flood relief for the adjoining and adjacent properties. The current hydraulic capacity of the channel is approximately 97 cubic feet per second (cfs). Channel improvements will increase the hydraulic capacity to approximately 346 cfs.

    Interested parties are hereby notified that an application has been received for a Department of the Army permit for certain work in waters of the United States as described below and shown on the attached drawings. The applicant proposes to replace a 520-ft long portion of the existing seawall (revetment) with a hybrid stone rubblemound revetment and an offset seawall. Turbidity curtains and sandbags/flexible intermediate bulk containers (FIBC) filled with clean and compatible sand would be installed to protect the marine environment and deflect waves while work is in progress. PURPOSE: Coastal bank stabilization.

    Interested parties are hereby notified that an application has been received for a Department of the Army permit for certain work in waters of the United States as described below and shown on the attached drawings. On the shoreline of the Pacific Ocean at Hololani Resort Condominiums, located at 4401 Lower Honoapiilani Road, City of Lahaina, Island of Maui, Hawaii (TMK: (2) 4-3-010:009). Latitude: 20.97296 N Longitude: -156.67956 W . The proposed project is the construction of a hybrid shore protection structure that combines a vertical seawall with a sloping rock rubble mound revetment. The structure will protect approximately 370 feet of the approximately 400 feet of shoreline that fronts the Hololani.
