  • Special Public Notice: PACIFIC OCEAN HONOLULU (POH) NATIONWIDE PERMIT REGIONAL CONDITION MODIFICATION

    The purpose of this notice is to announce an update to the Nationwide Permit (NWP) Regional Conditions (RCs) as they pertain to the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Honolulu District, Regulatory Branch (POH-RO). Effective immediately, there is a new RC implemented, requiring the submission of a Pre-Construction Notification (PCN), and receipt of a NWP Verification for all NWP activities prior to construction, within the POH-RO Area of Responsibility.
  • Kahaluu Bay Aquatic Ecosystem Restoration Study

    Interested parties are hereby notified that the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Honolulu District and the Hawaii County Department of Parks and Recreation, in partnership with The Kohala Center’s, Kahaluu Bay Education Center (KBEC), will host a public scoping and informational meeting to introduce the Kahaluu Bay Aquatic Ecosystem Restoration Study. The meeting will be available to both in-person and virtual attendees with restoration study partners in attendance to introduce the study provide background information, answer questions and gather public input.
