The County of Maui, Department of Environmental Management proposes to construct a 1,100-foot long extension to the rock revetment fronting the eroding shoreline of the Wailuku-Kahului Wastewater Reclamation Facility in Kahului, Island of Maui, Hawaii. The purpose of the rock revetment is to stabilize the shoreline and prevent further erosion of and damage to critical inland infrastructure."

    The applicant proposes to discharge dredged and fill material into waters of the United States (U.S.) and conduct work in navigable waters of the U.S. to remove four existing geotextile tube (“geotube”) groins and construct four new permanent rock groins. In addition, the applicant proposes to place approximately 810 cubic yards of dredged beach sand, including sand that would be expelled during the demolition of the geotube groins, on approximately 1.11 acres of the Stable Road Beach below the high tide line.

The C&C of Honolulu Dept of Design & Construction proposes to construct a permanent rock revetment along the eroded shoreline fronting the Makaha Surfside Apartments and the County-owned Mauna Lahilahi Beach Park in Makaha, Island of Oahu, Hawaii. The purpose of the rock revetment is to stabilize the shoreline and prevent further erosion of and damage to inland properties.

    The DLNR proposes to discharge dredged and fill material into waters of the U.S. to reconstruct the breach in the Hanalei River bank. Work activities would also involve removal (dredging and excavation) of an accumulated bank of sediments downstream of the breach channel to restore and enhance aquatic habitat at and downstream of the project site.
