The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) is holding a public meeting and information session to explain the history of the Popoki Target Area, potential risks of unexploded ordnance in the area, and the 3Rs of Explosives Safety (Recognize, Retreat, Report) which are used when UXO is sighted.
To learn more about the 3Rs and the risks that may remain in the former Popoki Target Area, visit the USACE public information booth on Monday, September 9th, 2024 at the Maku'u Farmer's Market site, 15-2131 Kea`au-Pāhoa Rd., Pahoa, HI. All are welcome to stop by anytime from 4 – 6 pm.
