Waikoloa Maneuver Area FUDS Fall 2024 Restoration Advisory Board Meeting

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Honolulu District is holding a Restoration Advisory Board meeting for the Waikoloa Maneuver Area Formerly Used Defense Site, or FUDS, located on the Island of Hawaii, Wednesday, October 16, 5-6:30 p.m.

To ensure maximum community involvement in the restoration decision-making process for the WMA FUDS, RAB meetings are open to the public and community members are encouraged to attend.

The fall 2024 RAB meeting will review past actions and give a status update regarding ongoing environmental investigations and restoration activities to address military munitions potentially remaining at the WMA.

ABOUT: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is responsible for the cleanup of properties eligible under the FUDS Program under the direction of the Department of the Army and the Department of Defense. Together in consultation with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and in partnership with state agencies USACE is making progress at the WMA and is committed to the environmental restoration of lands due to past DoD activities.
