    Expiration date: 9/11/2018

    Interested parties are hereby notified that an application has been received for a Department of the Army (DA) permit for certain work in waters of the United States as described below and shown on the enclosed drawings. The Hawaii Kai Marina Community Association (HKMCA) proposes to replace the existing sandbag groin with a larger L-head rock groin located along the Hawaii Kai Marina entrance channel at 21.280739°, -157.711508° and periodically move sand trapped by the groin to the beach east to TMKs (1) 3-9-002:001, 002, 003, 004, and 034 at 21.277678°, -157.709349° all in Maunalua Bay, Honolulu, Island of Oahu, Hawaii. The purpose of replacement of the groin and sand backpassing is to maintain ingress and egress through the Hawaii Kai marina entrance channel, reduce the need for future maintenance dredging in the Hawaii Kai marina entrance channel, and reduce erosion along the east edge of Portlock Beach.

  • Former Waikoloa Maneuver Area Evacuation Notice

    This is a public notification and informational handout concerning planned and on-going investigation and clean-up of unexploded ordnance (UXO) by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for work being conducted in the Ke Kumu `Ekahi, Ke Kumu `Elua, Ke Kumu `Ekolu, and portions of surrounding neighborhoods of Waikoloa Village (Area P).

  • 2017 Nationwide Permits (NWP): Modification of Regional Condition 3 (Acreage Limitation)

    The 2017 Nationwide Permit (NWP) Regional Conditions for the Honolulu District (the District) were approved by the Pacific Ocean Division Commander March 10, 2017 and went into effect March 19, 2017. The District is proposing a change to Regional Condition 3 – Acreage Limitation, as described below.

    The purpose of this notice is to advise the public that the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Honolulu District (the “District”), will initiate alternative permit application processing procedures in response to conditions resulting from heavy rains beginning on April 14, 2018 (hereafter referred to as “April 2018 Hawaii Heavy Rains”). These alternate procedures will be utilized for a period of 6 months from the date of this Notice, or November 05, 2018.

Hanapepe River, 013 por., and 034 por., and [4] 1-9-010: 014 por., 015 por., 046 por., and 050 por., Kaumualii Highway and Iona Road right-of-way).

    Interested parties are hereby notified that an application has been received for a Department of the Army (DA) permit for certain work in waters of the United States as described below and shown on the attachment. Castle & Cooke Homes Hawaii, Inc. proposes to discharge fill material into Kipapa Stream and an unnamed tributary to Kipapa Stream for the construction of an offsite detention basin (OSDB) as part of the overall drainage system for the proposed Koa Ridge Development project located in Waipio, Island of Oahu, Hawaii. The purpose of the OSDB is to temporarily detain stormwater runoff generated from upstream developments to dampen and control the peak discharge entering Kipapa Stream.

    Interested parties are hereby notified that an application has been received for a Department of the Army (DA) permit for certain work in waters of the United States as described below and shown on the attachments. The Navy Region Hawaii (Navy) proposes to dredge Bravo, Mike, Sierra Wharves and Hotel Piers in the East Loch, and the Upper Middle Loch of Pearl Harbor, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Oahu Island, Hawaii. Dredged material removed from the Upper Middle Loch would be transported for ocean disposal at the South Oahu Ocean Dredged Material Disposal Site. The purpose of the project to re-establish dredge depths at for wharves, piers, and mooring areas to maintain navigable waterways and berthing areas for the Navy.

    Interested parties are hereby notified that an application has been received for a Department of the Army (DA) permit for certain work in waters of the United States as described below and shown on the attachments. The American Samoa Government, Department of Public Works proposes to make repairs to the Route 1 embankment and construct improvements to the existing rock revetment along 2,140 linear feet of shoreline in Pago Pago Harbor between Atu’u and Laulii (Leloaloa), Island of Tutuila, American Samoa. The purpose of the project is to repair Route 1 and stabilize the coastal shoreline to ensure safe ridership, maintain access between Pago Pago and Onenoa, and protect the roadway from future erosion and flood damage.
