    Interested parties are hereby notified that an application has been received for a Department of the Army permit for certain work in waters of the United States as described below and shown on the attached drawings.The proposed work includes the demolition of an existing 11.8-feet-wide by 61.4-feet-long, concrete boat ramp followed by the construction of a new boat ramp which would be 15.7-feet wide and 82.7-feet long. To accomplish this, the proposed work plan includes the relocation of corals in the vicinity of the boat ramp located on both existing rip rap and natural substrate, as detailed in the attachments and the Navy’s letter dated March 14, 2013, to the National Marine Fisheries Service.

    Interested parties are hereby notified that an application has been received for a Department of the Army (DA) permit for certain work in waters of the United States as described below and shown on the attached drawings. The County of Maui, Department of Environmental Management proposes to construct a 1,100-foot long extension to the rock revetment fronting the eroding shoreline of the Wailuku-Kahului Wastewater Reclamation Facility in Kahului, Island of Maui, Hawaii. The purpose of the rock revetment is to stabilize the shoreline and prevent further erosion of and damage to critical inland infrastructure."

    This special public notice serves to notify the public that the regulations at 33 CFR § 334.1390 have been amended for the expansion of the danger zone located in the waters of the Pacific Ocean off the Pacific Missile Range Facility (PMRF) at Barking Sands, Kauai, Hawaii.

    Expiration date: 1/7/2014

    The applicant proposes to discharge dredged and fill material into waters of the United States (U.S.) and conduct work in navigable waters of the U.S. to remove four existing geotextile tube (“geotube”) groins and construct four new permanent rock groins. In addition, the applicant proposes to place approximately 810 cubic yards of dredged beach sand, including sand that would be expelled during the demolition of the geotube groins, on approximately 1.11 acres of the Stable Road Beach below the high tide line.

    Interested parties are hereby notified that an application has been received for a Department of the Army (DA) permit for certain work in waters of the United States as described below and shown on the attached drawings. The C&C of Honolulu Dept of Design & Construction proposes to construct a permanent rock revetment along the eroded shoreline fronting the Makaha Surfside Apartments and the County-owned Mauna Lahilahi Beach Park in Makaha, Island of Oahu, Hawaii. The purpose of the rock revetment is to stabilize the shoreline and prevent further erosion of and damage to inland properties.

    The DLNR proposes to discharge dredged and fill material into waters of the U.S. to reconstruct the breach in the Hanalei River bank. Work activities would also involve removal (dredging and excavation) of an accumulated bank of sediments downstream of the breach channel to restore and enhance aquatic habitat at and downstream of the project site.

    Expiration date: 7/7/2013

    Interested parties are hereby notified that an application has been received for a Department of the Army (DA) permit for certain work in waters of the United States as described below and shown on the attached drawings. The applicant proposes to rebuild the Kuualii Fishpond rock wall, dredge sand infill from the fishpond, and restore the sand beach fronting the fishpond with the dredged sand. The rock wall and beach were damaged by the March 11, 2011 tsunami generated by a massive earthquake off the coast of Japan. Following the tsunami, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) authorized emergency repairs to stabilize the breach in the beach from further erosion while a permanent restoration plan was developed. The currently proposed work would return the fishpond to its pre-tsunami condition.

    The applicant (C&C of Honolulu) proposes to construct a new silt basin in uplands in the northwest corner of the West Loch golf course (Island of Oahu) adjacent to the Number 6 green, requiring appurtenant inlet and outlet structures to connect and direct flow from and back to the Honouliuli Stream during storm events. Two (2) separate portions of the stream would be lined with poured concrete and grouted boulder riprap from the top of the stream banks down to the bed to protect areas within the stream from erosion and scour around the new inlet and outlet.

    Expiration date: 6/21/2013

    Interested parties are hereby notified that an application has been received for a Department of the Army (DA) permit for certain work in waters of the United States as described below and shown on the attached drawings. The HART proposes to discharge dredged and/or fill material into waters of the United States for the construction of the Honolulu High-Capacity Transit Corridor project, including portions of the elevated guideway (i.e., piers/columns) and the Pearl Highlands Station and transit center.
